The cost of repairing a gutter varies depending on the materials used, but it’s not always easy to work out how much you can expect to pay.
People are often surprised by the high costs associated with guttering repairs, especially if they have been given an estimate for replacing their whole guttering system rather than just one part. It is important that people know what components need to be replaced and which ones can be repaired so they don’t get caught out with unexpected costs and overspending.
Refitting an existing part of PVC guttering normally will put you out cost around £33 /m2. Or that will rise to £57 if the gutter is cast iron then the costs rises
If it’s the downpipe that needs to be fixed or replaced then expect to pay a lot more, around £24 /m2 for PVCu and £75 per metre for cast iron.
Expect to pay £50 and £125 if you need to replace the gutter joint.
